Berry Recruitment is seeking a hard-working, reliable and organised Sous Chef to join our client based in Sittingbourne.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage daily kitchen operations.
  • Lead the team as second in command in the Head Chef's absence.
  • Ensure high-quality food standards.
  • Help to supervise and mentor staff.
  • Deliver high-quality food using fresh, local produce.
  • Support the Head Chef.
  • Cook traditional British fayre.
  • Prepare fresh food made from seasonal, local ingredients.
  • Maintain excellent health, hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Stock taking, ordering and stock rotation if required.
  • Cost controls and waste management.

A hygiene qualification, excellent food knowledge and food safety awareness are all essential for this role.

Pay rate: £15.00 per hour

Location: Due to limited public transport, having your own transport is ideal.
