Berry Recruitment is seeking a hard-working, reliable and organised Sous Chef to join our client based in Sittingbourne.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage daily kitchen operations.
- Lead the team as second in command in the Head Chef's absence.
- Ensure high-quality food standards.
- Help to supervise and mentor staff.
- Deliver high-quality food using fresh, local produce.
- Support the Head Chef.
- Cook traditional British fare.
- Prepare fresh food made from seasonal, local ingredients.
- Maintain excellent health, hygiene and food safety standards.
- Stock taking, ordering and stock rotation if required.
- Cost controls and waste management.
A hygiene qualification, excellent food knowledge and food safety awareness are all essential for this role.
Pay rate: £15.00 per hour
Location: Due to limited public transport, having your own transport is ideal.
