Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Senior Warehouse Operative to work for a company in Wantage, Oxfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who is ready to take on additional responsibility and develop their leadership skills in a supportive and ambitious business.

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Location: Wantage, Oxfordshire

Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 17:30

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Warehouse Operative:

  • Stock Control: Checking, booking in and replenishing stock accurately.
  • Order Fulfilment: Picking, packing and dispatching orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Inventory Management: Supporting stock takes and helping maintain excellent stock accuracy.
  • Team Support: Assisting Warehouse Assistants, ensuring tasks are completed correctly and to agreed timescales.
  • Compliance: Supporting ISO accreditation activities, Health & Safety requirements and risk assessments.
  • Administration: Ensuring all warehouse paperwork is completed, filed and archived correctly.
  • Collaboration: Responding to warehouse requests and queries from departments across the business.
  • Courier Coordination: Liaising with couriers to ensure items are collected, shipped and tracked promptly.
  • Leadership: Providing day-to-day support to the Warehouse Manager and deputising when required.

About you:

  • Warehouse Experience: Previous experience working within a warehouse environment is essential.
  • Team Leadership: Experience supporting, mentoring or supervising colleagues within a warehouse setting.
  • Communication Skills: Confident communicating with people at all levels of the business.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Team Player: Able to work both independently and collaboratively to meet operational targets.
  • Adaptability: Flexible approach to working hours when business needs require it.
  • Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn and develop a detailed understanding of warehouse procedures and best practices.

Due to our beautiful rural location, you'll need a full clean driving licence and your own vehicle. Reach Truck experience or a willingness to undertake training.
