Berry Recruitment Darlington is currently registering agency Kitchen Assistants and Cleaners to cover temporary roles within schools in Staindrop. These roles are as-required, ideal for candidates looking to top up their regular hours or seeking flexible part-time work.
Working Hours
Typically 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM or 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM, depending on the school’s requirements.
Duties Include
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting
- Cleaning toilets and replenishing supplies
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely
- Sanitising touch points and high-traffic areas
- Cleaning windows, doors, and furniture
- Following cleaning schedules and procedures
- Reporting maintenance issues or health and safety concerns
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience preferred
- Driving licence and own transport preferred but not essential
- Must hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service (£18/year) or be willing to pay £59.50 for a new Enhanced DBS
- Completion of online training: Safeguarding, Keeping Children Safe in Education
