Berry Recruitment are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Production Line Operatives to join our client based in Bicester food production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing, packaging, and quality control of food produce on the production line. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and will have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strict adherence to food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing and Packaging:
- Operate and maintain machinery and equipment used in the processing and packaging of food produce.
- Ensure that food products are prepared, processed, and packaged according to specifications and quality standards.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure food products meet company and regulatory standards.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products onto and off the production line.
- Ensure materials are organised and available for production needs.
- Monitor production processes and perform routine checks to identify any issues or malfunctions.
- Report any defects or discrepancies to the Production Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in the maintenance of equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Accurately record production data and maintain logs as required.
- Complete any required paperwork and ensure records are up to date.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Basic understanding of food production processes and machinery.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to strict safety and quality standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment (hot or cold, depending on the type of food produce).
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime as needed.
- Compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, including wearing appropriate protective clothing and equipment.
- Candidates will be expected to provide a valid passport, Right to Work (RTW) documents, 5-year background references, and a DBS certificate (the cost will be covered by the company)

Working Pattern
This is Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm but must be flexible due to company requirements.
