FULL TRAINING PROVIDED

Streetcare Sweeper Operator: primary role being a front-line machine operator responsible for the safe and productive operation in the use of compact road sweepers; undertaking various roles maintaining city cleanliness.

  • Driving a company vehicle up to 7.5T in accordance with appropriate licence, instruction and training as required.
  • Operating a compact sweeper on public roads, footpaths and other public areas.
  • Undertaking daily checks on sweepers, and minor maintenance as required.
  • Ensuring that all service delivery outputs are achieved during your shift.
  • Prioritising scheduled work tasks as well as responding to reactive requirements throughout.
  • Completing appropriate daily safety checks on all equipment and carrying out maintenance/reporting defects when required.
  • Reporting and recording the status of all tasks, using paper-based or hand-held electronic devices.
  • Liaising with members of the public, other team members, managers and sub-contractors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Undertaking all aspects of street cleaning works including scheduled and reactive cleaning using both manual and mechanical methods, litter bin emptying, fly tip removal, flyposting and graffiti removal etc.

Requirements:

  • Full (manual) driving licence to 7.5T.
  • Experience of driving professionally preferable.
  • A good team worker with a flexible approach to work.
  • Flexibility to adapt to suit company needs and undergo alternative roles as and when required.
