My client who runs a cleaning company based in Berkshire is seeking an experienced HR Officer to provide advice and guidance to managers and staff relating to employment and personnel issues.
Key tasks include:
- Work closely with departments to assist line managers in understanding and implementing human resources policies and procedures correctly.
- Promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion across the business.
- Recruitment of staff, including writing & posting advertisements, working with resourcing companies, reviewing applications, shortlisting, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
- Sourcing recruitment platforms and developing methodologies and procedures to support the business in recruiting and selecting the right calibre of staff.
- Undertaking DBS checks and managing the system online.
- Updating Payroll on new starters to ensure accurate personnel records are on the CRM system.
- Issuing the correct documentation to new staff as part of the onboarding and induction process.
- Setting up employees' probation reviews and annual performance and field reviews.
- Recording absence and holiday records and ensuring accurate information on Cleanlink.
- Keeping training records in line with staff development needs and reviews.
- Participating in the TUPE process in line with regulations - keeping a log of all activities.
You will be excellent at organising with a thorough understanding of HR. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills including strong IT skills and experience of working with various databases. A people person with excellent relationship skills at all levels within human resources. A strong background in recruiting from start to finish. You will have the ability to analyse and explain employment law and statistical data. If you have experience of TUPE that would be ideal. You will be professional, focused, loyal, and capable of managing sensitive topics and confidential situations. Be able to demonstrate a strong team attitude and to have a calm and collected approach to support your colleagues. You will be a car driver and hold a CIPD qualification and have held a position in HR previously.
The role is based on a 40-hour contract Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. This is an office-based position; however, the successful applicant will also be required to travel to our franchised locations to support managers and attend meetings.
