Berry Recruitment are looking for a HGV Class 2 driver to work as part of their Streetcare team based in North London. The successful candidate will be required to operate a truck mounted road sweeper t Working hours are 36 hours per week 6am start What does this role involve? Safely operating a truck mounted, left hand drive HGV road sweeper Ensuring daily work schedules are followed, and to a consistent high standard Completing appropriate safety checks on all vehicles and equipment, and reporting defects as required. Cleaning and washing down sweeper at the end of each shift Liaising with members of the public, other team members, managers and clients in a professional and courteous manner Assisting with other areas of the Streetcare service as required.What are we looking for? HGV Class 2 licence (Cat C) with Full CPC and experience of safely operating similar sized vehicles in busy urban environments Ability, desire and motivation to work alone and unsupervised Ability to follow work instructions, both written and oral, to a high standard Desire and ability to consistently work to a high standard with a flexible approach to work. Health and Safety awareness and the ability to follow safe working practices at all times Ability to understand and complete documents/forms relating to the service Local knowledge of the Peterborough areaExperience and Qualifications HGV Class 2 licence (Cat C) with Full CPC / Tacho Min 1 year experience of operating similar sized vehicles in urban environments Experience of operating truck mounted left hand drive sweepers preferable Please note that no terminology in this advert is intended to discriminate on the grounds of a person\’s gender, marital status, race, religion, colour, age, disability or sexual orientation.
