About Us:
Berry Recruitment is a trusted logistics provider working with a wide range of clients across various industries. As demand increases, we are looking for reliable and experienced HGV Drivers (Class 1 and Class 2) to join our team and help deliver essential goods across various areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an HGV (Class 1 or Class 2) vehicle to deliver goods to multiple locations.
- Adhere to assigned routes and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy.
- Load and unload goods, assisting where necessary to ensure safe delivery.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and adhere to all legal driving regulations (tachographs, CPC, etc.).
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professionalism at all times.
Requirements:
- A valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 License.
- Valid CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Proven experience as an HGV driver, with a strong track record of safe driving.
- Good understanding of UK road laws and regulations.
- Physical fitness for some manual handling and loading/unloading tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
