Role Overview:
You will be responsible for carrying out waste sorting, handling, and packing duties within the Transfer Station, ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures. The role also involves operating a Forklift Truck to move palletised waste across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload palletised waste from vehicles
- Operate a Forklift Truck to move waste across the site
- Store waste correctly in line with Transfer Station requirements
- Check incoming and outgoing waste against documentation
- Carry out waste bulking and repacking as directed by Site Chemists
- Handle a range of materials, including:
- Oil/water mixtures
- Paper and cardboard
- Lithium batteries
- General waste (compaction)
- Plastic drums
