We are currently looking for a yard / warehouse operative for our very busy builder materials client a few miles outside of Gravesend. The shift is 0730-finish Mon-Fri. You will be required to check stock, pick orders and there will be continual manual handling (heavy) in both the yard & warehouse.
Must have a valid forklift licence due to using it to load/unload materials which can be large up to 5m in length in restricted space. Due to the nature of the role, there will be a requirement to communicate with customers both face to face and over the telephone. This is an opportunity to grow with the company for the successful candidate. Accuracy is essential when picking / taking orders due to the size and nature of the products.
The facilities are basic with parking available (Bring own pack up lunch). The role is potentially temp-perm. The shift time is: 0730-Finish - Shift Monday to Friday (timings can vary during busy periods). Pay £13.00 per hour. The role will start immediately subject to a successful chat & tour with the client.
You must have safety boots and a Hi Vis vest & valid forklift licence. Own transport is essential due to the location of the site - shift timings can vary during busy periods.
