The predicted salary is between 12 - 16 £ per hour.

Our client based in Eastleigh are a global building materials company and the largest global manufacturer of fibre cement products. They are looking for an Operative with a Forklift License, based in their large warehouse that will be responsible for Quality Control and Goods In.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Control and Goods In: responsible for incoming goods inspection, visual checks, and dimensional checks.
  • Operate within the warehouse to receive, store, and move goods as required.
  • Use forklift to handle materials in the warehouse (Forklift license required).
  • Document and report quality deviations and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

  • Technical Requirements to include: Completed training or proven experience, ideally in logistics, warehouse operations, or quality assurance.
  • Experience or knowledge of quality control: e.g., incoming goods inspection, visual checks, dimensional checks.
  • Computer skills would be an advantage: working with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, WMS) and MS Office.
  • Skills in documenting and reporting quality deviations.
  • Forklift license.

Personal Requirements

  • Attention to detail and accuracy when inspecting goods.
  • Sense of responsibility and reliability.
  • Teamwork skills, but also the ability to work independently.
  • Resilience, especially during high-volume periods.
  • Willingness to work shifts, if required.

Interviews to take place ideally in October and position to start in November. You will be working Monday to Friday 07:00-16:00 and the position is for 6 to 9 months with a high chance of permanent for the right candidate.
