Berry Recruitment is gearing up for major AI data centre projects and we're looking to line up experienced Fibre Splicers ready to go when the contracts land.
Heads up: We're building our go-to team now so we can move fast when our clients give us the 'green light' to proceed.
The Money
£200-£400 per day
The Work
This is proper fibre work in AI and high-performance data centres - clean environments, high standards, no rushed FTTH installs.
You'll be:
- Cutting and cleaving fibres
- Fusion splicing (single fibre & ribbon fibre)
- Carrying out fibre terminations
- Testing with OTDRs and power meters
- Troubleshooting when things don't look right. Precision matters here.
What you need
- At least 1 year's experience fibre splicing / splicing
- City & Guilds in Optical Cabling & Splicing
- ETA or BICSI Fibre Optic Technician qualification
- Steady hands, good eyesight, and real attention to detail
- You must be confident using:
- Precision cleavers
- Fusion splicers
- Fibre microscopes
- OTDRs & power meters
