We are seeking a Plumbing and Heating Engineer who will be home based and go to call outs on a daily basis. The general hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm although additional hours can be required. The role covers the Essex area so as long as you are happy to commute around the county this is fine.
On a daily basis you will carry out remedial and reactive works on behalf of our maintenance client. You will deal with project works, including heating and domestic service installations. You will be proficient in all aspects of plumbing including screwed pipework fitting. You will be versatile, able to work in offices and domestic dwellings. You will fault find and diagnose issues, reporting on what needs to be rectified. You can be working either alone or on occasion as part of a two-man team.
You will work with the Asset Pro live reporting system and ensure that all jobs are met with SLA terms and reported. You will make recommendations where required. There is also the opportunity to gain from call outs every 4 weeks to cover all reactive faults. You will attend Health and Safety training as well.
You will need to have a full UK driving licence, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a City and Guilds or NVQ level qualifications post apprenticeship. Gas safe registration preferred. The company offers a tablet, phone and van, and a salary up to £45,000.
