Berry Recruitment are looking for 3.5t delivery & install drivers to work for a large well established Electrical retailer at the Hedge End depot. The shift starts at 6am and will vary depending on deliveries that day. You will also need to be available to work some weekends as it is working 5 days a week out of 7. Hourly pay is £13.63. A BASIC DBS CHECK is required for this role, which Berry Recruitment can obtain for you if you do not already have one. This is a contract role but there is an opportunity to be taken on permanently for the right candidates.
Main Duties:
- To safely deliver, install and demonstrate white goods, televisions and cookers in customers' properties.
- Engaging with customers, keeping them informed and ensuring their delivery and our installation is carried out to the highest standard.
- Maintain regular contact with the site throughout the day to meet any changes to a customer delivery request.
- To ensure the handheld operating device (Savvy) is always used correctly by completing visits and obtaining customer signatures.
- Liaise with manufacturers at the point of delivery when necessary.
- Able to meet the physical requirements for this role.
- Manage changing volumes of load held in the vehicle during the day - regularly review, adjust and secure load to ensure safety whilst using equipment provided (straps and sack barrows).
Before starting, you will need to complete an induction that includes a driving assessment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience driving a 3.5t vehicle (with no more than 3 points).
- Strong customer service at all times.
- Heavy lifting.
