Job Overview
We are looking for a Home Delivery Driver to join our delivery team based at Bedford.
This is a temporary ongoing position with an immediate start.
The role involves delivering a range of white goods, brown goods and bulky items directly into customers' homes while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive a company van and complete scheduled deliveries.
- Deliver white goods, brown goods and bulky items to customers' homes.
- Lift and manoeuvre items weighing up to 80-90kg as part of a two-person delivery team where required.
- Handle goods with care to prevent damage during transport and delivery.
- Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
- Complete delivery paperwork and follow company procedures.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and safe manual handling practices.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with no more than the company-approved number of penalty points.
- Good level of physical fitness due to regular heavy lifting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous delivery or multi-drop driving experience is desirable but not essential.
