Job Opportunity: Kitchen Assistants - Scawby Area
Berry Recruitment Darlington is currently registering agency kitchen assistants to cover temporary roles within schools. These roles are as-required, ideal for candidates looking to top up their regular hours or seeking flexible part-time work.
Working Hours: Typically 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM or 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, depending on the school's requirements.
Duties Include:
- Assisting with food preparation
- Serving meals to students and staff
- Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment
- Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
- Following food hygiene and safety procedures
- Supporting the cook or catering team as needed
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen or catering experience preferred
- Driving licence and own transport preferred but not essential
- Must hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service (£18/year) - or be willing to pay £59.50 for a new Enhanced DBS
- Completion of online training: Food Hygiene, Safeguarding, Keeping Children Safe in Education
