A great opportunity has arisen at our client, a food production establishment in Bishops Stortford, for a night shift counter balance fork lift truck operator. This is an ongoing temporary role but could potentially lead to temp to perm for the right person, paying £14.97ph with overtime payable after daily hours. The working hours are Monday to Friday 22.00-0600. Initial training will take place on a rotating day shift pattern until you can work competently.
The duties will involve:
- Use of a counter balance fork lift to load and unload lorries.
- Safely store grain and flour on racking using fork lift truck.
- Setting up, loading and calibrating machinery used in the production process of flour.
- Monitoring machinery and logging data.
- Dismantling and cleaning of machinery and production area.
- Working in tandem with automated palletiser machinery.
The right candidate will ideally have worked in a production environment or used machinery, and be able to work quickly and efficiently. This is a food production environment, so there are very strict health and safety guidelines that must be adhered to at all times.
