Skills & Experience
  • Experience of face to face customer service
  • Experience within the transport / railway industry (Preferable)
  • Experience in Train Dispatch or an understanding of the role and what it entails is essential
  • Must be a serious, articulate individual, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and understand the nature and complexity of this safety critical role
  • Must be well presented and physically fit – comfortable working on their feet for a full shift (4‑12 hours)
  • Must be flexible with work start / finish times – including early, late & weekends

Free train pass provided so won't cost you anything to go to the various stations of work. You will always work at different locations. Morning, afternoon, evening and night shifts. You will need to be flexible and work weekends too when required.

Job Description & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the safety and well-being of all passengers boarding and disembarking from trains.
  • Make sure that trains leave the station safely and on time.
  • You will be working in a busy, safety critical environment therefore you must understand the importance of staying focused and attention to details.

Full Training is Provided

Process: you would be invited to come for a train dispatch concentration test (TDCT) and Customer Service Situation Test (CSS). If you pass the concentration test, we will then book you in for the drug & alcohol test plus medical. This will happen on either same day or the day after. For those who pass (TDCT and D&A / Medical) – you will then be offered a place on our train dispatch course starting soon. The course is paid.
