About the Role
We are currently recruiting on behalf of New Forest District Council (NFDC) for a permanent HR Administrator to join their busy and varied HR service. The primary focus of this role will be to administer the Council’s Corporate Learning Management System, while also providing wider HR administrative support across the service. This will include supporting areas such as recruitment, job evaluation and general HR administration. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong systems and administrative skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the Corporate Learning Management System.
- Provide effective and efficient HR administrative support across the service.
- Support recruitment and associated HR processes.
- Assist with job evaluation and related administration.
- Maintain accurate employee and HR records.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
- Work across different systems and platforms, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation.
- Manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About You
We are looking for candidates with relevant HR administration experience and excellent systems skills. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience working in an HR administration role or a closely related position.
- Strong IT and systems experience, with the ability to learn and use new systems quickly.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
- A flexible and proactive approach to your work.

Salary & Career Progression
The salary is £26,635 – £27,380, pending pay award. This is a career progression role. Candidates who fully meet the progression criteria detailed within the Job Description may be eligible for progression to salaries above £27,381 and up to £30,372.
Working Arrangements
This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week. Hybrid working is available, with approximately 50% remote working and 50% based at the Council's head office or working across sites within the district. Working hours are between 08:00 and 17:30, with some flexibility around how these hours are worked, subject to the needs of the business.
