Mechanical Fitter (NNKMKN) Knaresborough, England
We are currently looking for experienced Mechanical Fitter in the Knaresborough area.
- Contract - Initial 3 months with possibilityto be extended or gone permanent.
- Start - ASAP - will wait if there is a notice period
- 32 Days annual leave for the year (prorated if contract less than 12 months)
- Location -Knaresborough
The working hours for this role are as follows
- Week 1: 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday
- Week 2: 10pm - 6am Monday - Friday
Key responsibilities
- Rectify problems on mechanical assets such as conveyor belts, pumps, gearboxes, valves and cranes
- Carry out Fabrication work and general workshop duties.
- Be responsible for PPM and Reactive maintenance work, ensuring the highest standards are set and maintained.
- Assist with and actively participate in planned outages.
- Operate Workshop machinery, fabrication, and refurbishment.
- Communicate problems and concerns promptly through line management ensuring quick resolution.
Qualifications Needed
- Time Served
- Mechanical Technical Apprenticeship
- Level 3 NVQ3/ BTEC
- Maintenance Engineering
- CSE/GCSE equivalent
- IOSH Managing
- Safely - Desirable
Experience
- Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings/ documents.
- Experience/knowledge of safe systems of work including permit to work, method statements and risk assessments.
- Ability to carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks.
- Ability fault-find and repair mechanical assets.
- Good communication.
- Experience writing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
