This is a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Shift starts at 6:45am. The shift end time varies depending on deliveries. Weekends are required, as work is 5 days a week out of 7.
Job responsibilities include:
- Safely deliver, install and demonstrate White Goods, Televisions, and Cookers at customers' property.
- Engage with customers, keep them informed, and ensure a high standard of delivery and installation.
- Maintain regular contact with the site to manage any changes to delivery requests and to escalate unplanned issues.
- Use the handheld operating device (Savvy) correctly, completing visits and obtaining customer signatures.
- Coordinate with Manufacturers at the point of delivery when necessary.
- Meet the physical requirements of the role, including heavy lifting.
- Manage changing loads in the vehicle, reviewing, adjusting, and securing the load for safety using provided equipment.
Before starting, you will complete an induction that includes a driving assessment.
Candidate requirements:
- Previous experience driving a 7.5t vehicle.
- No more than 6 points on driving licence.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting.
- Strong customer service attitude at all times.
- Basic DBS check is required (Berry Recruitment can arrange).
