Kitchen Assistant - Wingate Area
Location: Wingate Area
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 2:00pm
Duration: Ongoing assignment covering sickness and holiday absence
Pay: £12.71 per hour, paid weekly
Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to work within a school in the Wingate area. This is an ongoing role providing cover for sickness, annual leave, and other staff absences.
This position would suit a reliable and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
Key Duties:
- Assisting with the preparation of food and drinks
- Serving meals to pupils and staff
- Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Cleaning kitchen and dining areas
- Supporting the catering team with day-to-day kitchen duties
- Adhering to food hygiene, health & safety, and school policies at all times
Requirements:
- Previous catering or kitchen experience is desirable but not essential
- Must hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Must be willing to complete all relevant training courses, including food hygiene and safeguarding training
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
