Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for Class 2 Refuse Drivers in and around Sudbury. New Drivers considered!

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job.
  • Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal.
  • Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed.
  • Complete relevant paperwork in real time.
  • Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
  • Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users.
  • Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points).
  • Driver CPC.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

The hours for the role are Monday - Friday 6.30am- 3pm.

The hourly rate for this position is starting from £15.52 (PAYE).
