We are currently recruiting for a reliable and motivated 7.5T Sweeper Driver to join a busy operational team based in Charnwood (LE12). This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing work with a well-established organisation, playing a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming public spaces across the local community. This hands-on role involves driving and operating specialist street sweeping vehicles while supporting environmental and waste management operations throughout the area.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate specialist 7.5T street sweeping vehicles
- Clean designated roads, footways, public spaces, and highways
- Remove litter, leaves, debris, and other waste materials
- Carry out bulky waste collections in accordance with operational requirements
- Lead and complete daily routes efficiently and safely
- Conduct vehicle checks and accurately report defects or maintenance issues
- Complete all required compliance documentation, including working hours and fleet records
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures
- Maintain relevant licences, qualifications, and training requirements
What We're Looking For
- Full UK Driving Licence with C1 (7.5T) entitlement
- Previous experience driving 7.5T vehicles is desirable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- willingness to undertake additional training where required
- Commitment to maintaining a valid driving licence and reporting any changes promptly
