We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Berry House Vets on a full-time, temporary basis. Berry House Vets is a well-established, single-site small animal practice in the centre of Hitchin. The practice is just five minutes from the mainline station into London and ten minutes from the bustling High Street, offering a mix of cafes, high street shops, and independent retailers. Our modern facilities include laparoscopy, digital x-ray (including dental), multiparameter monitoring, and Phovia.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Shift patterns: 7:30‑16:00, 8:00‑16:30, 10:00‑18:30, with occasional duty shifts 15:00‑21:45. Weekends 1 in 7: 9:00‑15:00 and 8:30‑12:30. No out-of-hours calls; reception staff cover opening hours.
General responsibilities include:
