Our client in Southampton is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to take charge of a busy and vibrant kitchen on a temporary basis.
The rewards:
- A temporary position with a well-established client, offering the opportunity to lead kitchen operations independently in a professional and supportive environment.
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday 7:00am–3:00pm
- Friday 7:00am–1:00pm
- Fixed weekday schedule.
The role of a Sous Chef:
- Running the kitchen operation independently and managing breakfast and lunch service
- Leading a team of two Kitchen Assistants throughout each shift
- Maintaining consistent food quality and service standards across a range of cuisines
- Ensuring full compliance with food safety and health and hygiene requirements
The ideal Sous Chef candidate:
- Proven experience running a kitchen independently with strong leadership and organisational skills
- Confident delivering breakfast and lunch service to a consistent standard
- Minimum Level 2 Food Safety and Health and Hygiene certification
- Full set of chef whites and knives required
- Well-presented, reliable and professional with an excellent work ethic
