To learn more about Berry, visit berryglobal.com Starting Rate: $14.00, incremental increases the first 60 days based on attendance and performance. $1.50 Shift differential Responsibilities PURPOSE: Responsible for the safe operation of winders, glue machines, and folder/stackers; packaging finished goods, making quality checks and handling scrap product. Assists with scrap reduction, housekeeping, and maintaining quality standards; observes all safety rules and conducts assigned duties in a safe manner. RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows all Companypolicies regarding safety, quality and attendance. Performs duties in a safe manner andreports all observed safety hazards to the Senior Operator, Production Supervisor, Team Lead or Safety Manager. Acts as a role model for Safety on shift. Participates in Safety by reportingUnsafe Conditions, Unsafe Acts and Close Calls; makes entries into theGlobal Data Center (GDC). Ensures a quality productthrough regular quality checks by reading and verifying line orders andspec sheets. Conducts regular product quality checks as required.Reports any out of spec products to the Senior Operatorimmediately. Follows all processesand procedures regarding product quality.Accurately and completely fills out quality check sheets to ensure consistent product checks. Properly packages finishedgoods to include correct use of labels, chips, sleeves, twist ties, palletpatterns and code stamps. Responsible for proper packaging of all finishedgoods to achieve the best cosmetic presentation possible. Responsible forverifying and executing pallet patterns. Maintains a neat andorderly work area; meets plant and department housekeeping standards. May be assigned additional housekeepingresponsibilities throughout the plant as needed to maintain a clean andorderly work space. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Knowledge normally acquired through completion of a High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required. Experience: In addition to the educational requirements 1 year previous manufacturing experience preferred. Basic knowledge ofcomputers is desired. Must be able to perform repetitive motions in a fast paced environment. Availability to work overtime, extended shifts,weekends, and/or holidays as scheduled. Ability to work collaboratively with others.
