Responsibilities
- Ensure QC testing and checks are carried out as directed by the Quality Co-ordinator
- Managing the full testing schedule for site (plastics, polyethylene) tests include, but not limited to, Gel Analysis, Melt flow, Polymer identification, Tear, Gauge, Puncture and Opacity.
- Develop an understanding of recycling processm waste streams and RCA
- Manage stakeholders and expectations for various departments
- Documentation of non-conformances and process changes
- Operate Lab equipment to a high degree, ensuring compliance and accuracy of results
- Pellet, scrap surveillance and trend analysis
- Preparing certificates of analysis for products and managing customer complaint samples
- General housekeeping
- Support lab activities as required
- Additional ad hoc tasks where required
Qualifications
- Experience with ISO standards, plastics or recycling related industry
- Good GCSE Grades in English, Maths and Science
- Good understanding of quality expectations, be able to problem solve and make decisions with confidence
- IT and Microsoft literacy
- Ability to manage own workload, enthusiastic, hardworking and able to use their own initiative.
