Responsibilities
- Supervise Quality Lab personnel including: Shift Leads, Quality Inspectors, and Rework personnel.
- Disposition all rejected product daily.
- Schedule rework and prioritize, as necessary.
- Support AW Printing, EVV-MLD, and EVV-THM with data analysis and trending to help provide the QAM detailed information regarding recurring mold and print problems.
- Backup SQF Practitioner / ISO MR.
- Participate as an Internal Auditor at AW facility.
- Track and trend TICs and NCMSs for AW facility.
- Utilize FMEA tools to determine printing failure modes.
- Maintain Kronos for QA department.
- Maintain self-service for vacation approvals for QA department.
- Act as backup to Audit 5S implementation and effectiveness.
- Attend production meetings to communicate current printing and molding defects.
- Hold weekly meetings for QA team.
- Coordinate special projects for QA team.
- Work with Scheduling/Customer Service/Sales on when rework product will be available.
- Provide weekly trend reports for dispositioned product to Quality Manager.
- Manage day-to-day production issues by closely working with production staff, as needed.
- Audit 5S implementation and effectiveness in the plant.
- Design, lead, and participate in training activities for production staff in the effort to improve quality.
- Assist Quality Manager with investigations for root cause and corrective action.
- Arrange and distribute samples as requested by Sample Request Database.
- Investigate and/or implement new quality measuring and testing systems for defective molded products.
- Provide monthly statistical reports.
- Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental, and Department of Health requirements.
Qualifications
- College degree, CQE or equivalent Quality experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of C-Pro, Ignition, Six Sigma, Excel, Minitab, and Team Building.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead employees in a positive manner.
- Experience in material preferred.
