Responsibilities:
- To carry out material testing and maintain excellent housekeeping whilst following appropriate safety, environment, and risk management systems.
- Carry out routine laboratory tests ensuring the manufactured film meets the customer specification.
- Provide analysis of material samples to support decision making within department.
- Prepare for laboratory tasks using the appropriate techniques, procedures, SOPs, and methods.
- To analyse, interpret and evaluate data in order to identify results requiring further investigation by senior colleagues/manager as appropriate.
- Produce reliable, accurate data and keep accurate records of quality testing undertaken.
- Use of specified laboratory equipment, including calibration where required.
- Recognise problems and apply appropriate scientific methods to identify causes and achieve solutions.
- To summarise test results and communicate these effectively to customers as required.
- Participate in continuous business performance improvement.
- To work to and promote a positive H&S culture.
- To assist the business with other activities as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: A-level
- Skills/Experience: Experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment (desirable but not essential as full training will be provided). Proficient in use of computer software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Personality/attributes: Attention to detail, proactive and solution focused, ability to perform independently.
