The bpi division sits within the Flexible Division of Berry Global Inc., a US-listed company with an annual turnover of around $13bn and over 40,000 employees. The bpi division has manufacturing sites across the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, and Romania. We are currently recruiting at our Bromborough site for Extrusion Operators working 12-hour shifts on a 2 days / 2 nights rota basis.
Qualifications
- Experience in the operation of extrusion equipment
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment (minimum 2 years experience); training will be provided (desirable)
- Good team working and communication skills
- Positive and proactive attitude
- Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative
- Ability to handle multiple priorities to ensure deadlines are met

Responsibilities
- Work safely in accordance with site procedures and safe systems of work
- Report all hazards and act on them accordingly
- Maintain housekeeping on all extrusion lines
- Monitor product quality and ensure all quality checks and testing are carried out per specifications
- Monitor and manage line output rates, utilization, and scrap levels against plan/targets on each line
- Operate extrusion machinery and monitor recycling equipment on each unit
- Ensure accurate data recording and input
- Provide a good handover of information to the incoming operator
