Reporting to: Assistant General Manager

Location: Andover Warehouse

Hours: 40 hrs per week. Working hours will be 07.00 - 16:00 with flexibility required.

The job in a nutshell:

We have an exciting opportunity at our Andover Warehouse for a Warehouse Operative. You will be part of the Berry Bros. & Rudd Warehouse team in achieving its weekly despatch of c.5000 customer orders - maintaining stock integrity for 25,000 stock locations containing over 20,000 different live product lines (excl. customers’ private reserves) across 3 warehouse sites. You will ensure the highest levels of service for both internal and external customers for all warehouse associated tasks.

Who you will work with:

  • Internal: Buying, Shipping & Compliance, Customer Service, Despatch, Fine Wine, Inbound.
  • External: Hauliers, Toyota, External Customers.

What you will do:

  • Accurately check, receipt and locate stock.
  • Accurately pick customers’ orders by set deadlines.
  • Accurately pack customers’ orders across all transport models.
  • Maintain excellent stock location accuracy and integrity by completing regular stock counts and labelling inspections.
  • Pack and re-label promotional stock products.
  • Be responsible for developing own skills through annual PDP.
  • Work the Christmas shift system for 4-weeks during November / December.
  • Work as part of the team in achieving our challenging targets.
  • Ensure that all working practices comply with Health and Safety legislation.
  • Develop a key skill set to meet changing business demands, including the use of the WMS SAP system.
  • Any other duties as reasonably determined by the General Manager that are within skill base.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Previous experience of working in a warehouse; picking and packing multi-SKU customer orders in a FMCG environment preferred.
  • Consistent achievement high personal standards for accuracy, attendance and timekeeping.
  • Accountable for achieving personal and team objectives through KPI reporting.
  • Works as part of a team with a positive, can-do attitude to learning new responsibilities.
  • Good communicator, including written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate "ownership" of the warehouse operation by working in different areas to achieve objectives during the day including working extra hours as required.
