The job in a nutshell
We are seeking a high energy and commercially driven New Customer Development Lead to join our team of UK Account Managers. With the main focus being on UHNW customer acquisition and next generation, the ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities, acquiring new clients, and driving revenue growth. This individual must have a strong ability to prospect, network and engage, while building lasting relationships with customers. A proactive and goal-oriented mindset is essential for success in this role.
Working under your own initiative, you will develop business by seeking out appropriate clients for Berry Bros. & Rudd. Through traditional and novel channels, you will explore, find and provide leads for potential UHNW clients, keen to build and develop collections with us.

Internal: Director of UK & Ireland, Private Client Managers, Marketing team
External: Prospects, Existing BB&R customers
What you will do
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify, target and engage potential customers through all relevant channels including calls, emails, networking and social media.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities, ensuring all potential leads are tracked and followed up on regularly.
- Targets: Acquire 200+ new customers with the propensity to spend in excess of £10,000 a year, resulting sales of £1m+ in the first year and long term active collections.
- Qualifying Leads: Evaluate and qualify leads to ensure they meet the company\’s ideal HNW Client profile, and determine their potential for conversion into paying clients and long term relationships.
- Networking: Through your networks and networking skills you will build and maintain relationships with people interested in collecting and drinking high end wines and spirits.
- Events: Conduct presentations and host events to potential customers, clearly articulating the value and benefits of collecting with Berry Bros. & Rudd.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with new customers to encourage long term relationships and referrals.
- Market Intelligence: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to better understand customer needs and market demands.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing and Customer Success teams to ensure a smooth transition from prospecting to onboarding, and to enhance customer experience.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline progress, reporting regularly on results and forecast analysis.

Qualifications
Education to degree level or equivalent
WSET qualifications or equivalent professional accreditations are preferred
