Factory Operators in Stevenston

The Flexibles EMEA division sits within the Flexibles Division of Berry Global Inc. a US listed company with an annual turnover of around $13bn and over 40,000 employees.

The Flexibles EMEA division has manufacturing sites across the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Poland and Romania.

Our Ardeer site is currently recruiting for factory operators to work in our Conversion, Extrusion, and Print departments.

All roles work 12 hours shifts dayshift / nightshift on a 24/7 rotating shift pattern, working 84 hours per fortnight and every other weekend.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Run the relevant lines within your department to manufacture blown film to specific quality standards and specifications
• To carry out duties effectively as required by the production plans and Quality Control check sheets
• Minimise production downtime and scrap
• Keeping the department clean and tidy to our high standards
• Follow H&S and environmental procedures, and seek to minimise waste
• Prepare for the next shift in order to conduct smooth shift changeovers

Experience & Skills required

We are looking for the successful candidate to be driven, enthusiastic, hardworking and able to work on their own initiative to run a press, with minimum supervision.

Good timekeeping, tidy, hardworking, health & safety conscious and great communication skills are essential, in addition to the ability to work as part of a team.

You will ideally have experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Previous experience with working shift patterns (including night shift) would be advantageous.

Full training will be provided.
