The role of the Gardener is to monitor the health of all plants and greenspaces, watering and feeding the plants, trimming the tree and shrubs and keeping all outdoor spaces clean and attractive
Duties
- Mowing lawns and trimming trees and shrubs
- Monitor the health of all plants and greenspaces regularly
- To operate grass cutting machinery safely and effectively, care and maintenance of machinery and the reporting of loss or damage to line manager according to Course policy and procedure.
- Ensure the efficient and effective operation and safe handling of all machinery and equipment following policy and procedure.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and assignments as required.
- Identify plant diseases and pests and treat them accordingly
- To work within the Health & Safety, COSHH, Risk Assessment and HAVS Assessment guidelines at all times.
- Ensure the efficient and effective operation and safe handling of all chemicals following Links policies and procedures.
- Any other duties that may be required
Requirements
The ideal person will preferably have strong experience, ideally at least 1-2 years in a similar position and will have the ability to deliver great service to our guests.
