Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Research Associate to join our Japan Semiconductors team, based in the Hong Kong offices of Bernstein’s premier Equity Research platform in Asia. Our research teams are typically only two or three professionals; therefore, you will have a high level of responsibility and be empowered to make an important contribution.
As a Senior Research Associate you will:
- Acquire expertise in your sector working with a Senior Analyst who is a seasoned industry expert
- Be adept at in-depth analysis of your industry and companies
- Contribute to our highly differentiated written product
- Build relationships with company managements as well as sales, trading, and institutional clients
We make a strong commitment to Associate development and will give you opportunities to gain visibility and incremental responsibility over time. Our Senior Research Associates typically possess:
- Advanced financial modelling skills including confident knowledge of Excel and/or experience of analysing financial companies (may have credentials such as the CFA, ACA or CPA)
- Technology and Semiconductor background is a plus
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in Japanese is an advantage.
- Track records of outstanding academic performance, including honors and awards. Academic credentials typically include test scores and grades in the 90th percentile and above
- Excellent broad-based analytical skills
- Familiarity with Bloomberg is an advantage
- Relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level
