Management Accountant
Location: Durham | Contract: Full time – Permanent | Hours: 37 per week | Salary: Up to £47,621 per annum (dependent on experience) | Closing Date: 8th July 2026
Overview
Join our Regional and National award‑winning finance team and support the Strategic Finance Team. The Management Accountant will ensure the timely and quality preparation of management information within the finance role.
Responsibilities
- Timely and quality preparation of management information for the Group, including monthly management accounts, budget variance analysis, budget profiling and reforecasting, treasury management, business planning and financial regulatory returns.
- Effective and efficient management of all of the Group’s accounting records in line with statutory obligations and current accounting requirements.
- Provision of effective and efficient management information to the Group.
- Ensuring excellent support services are delivered across all Group departments and external customers, including companies under the Group’s management.
Qualifications
- A recognised professional accounting qualification or equivalent substantial experience.
- Self‑driven and motivated to succeed.
- Excellent skills in written and verbal communication, report writing, time management and problem solving.
- Ability to act as a key member of the Strategic Team, demonstrating leadership, ownership, responsibility, accountability, influence and commitment.
- Customer‑focused and objective‑oriented approach.
