Ashington. Salary: £28,851.00 per annum. Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday. Contract: Permanent. Closing Date: 5PM, Friday 20th February 2026.

We are looking to appoint a Multi Skilled Operative with a Flooring discipline, to join Bernicia’s Property Maintenance and Construction department.

About the Multi Skilled Operative (Flooring) Role:

This role will involve:

• As a Multi Skilled Operative your role will be aligned to undertaking all types of flooring work associated with this position, to both domestic and commercial properties to a high standard but also for the delivery of excellent customer service.

Your Experience:

• NVQ level 2 in floorcovering or working towards.
• On-Site training, approximately 2 years.
• Linked building skills to carryout Multi-skilled works.
• CSCS card as appropriate to the role.
• Experience of working within a commercial and domestic property environment.
• Experience of working in a target driven environment.
• Adapt to change, positively contribute and communicate effectively.
• To undertake multi-skilled trade competencies.
• To understand risk assessments.
• Ability to deliver work in line with construction drawings.
• A sound knowledge of building construction, components and building trades.
