Estate Operative, Grounds Maintenance

Location: Team Valley

Contract: Permanent Full Time

Hours: 37 hours (seasonally adjusted for summer/winter working – details at appointment)

Salary: £24,310.00 per annum

Closing Date: 5PM, 29th August 2025.

Bernicia are looking for an enthusiastic Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our busy team.

Working as part of our Estate Services Team, you will work alongside other operatives and undertake grounds maintenance services to Bernicia sites which can include aspects of soft landscaping such as grass cutting, strimming, clearing foliage and removal of unwanted growth from shrubs.

About the role:

You will work as part of a team who are passionate about providing an excellent service and making our estates attractive to places to live, ensuring our customer standards are delivered.

You will be a proactive member of the team, actively learning from customer feedback to improve the service delivery.

Ideally you will have experience and knowledge of using equipment to maintain green spaces and have a can-do attitude with a flexible approach to your working hours, particularly in the summertime.

Training can be provided for the right candidate.
