Salary: £39,678 per annum (inclusive of April 2026 pay award). Earnings up to £43,000+ per annum including standby.

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Electrician to join our Property Maintenance and Construction Department working within our Ashington or Spennymoor maintenance teams. As a Multi Skilled Electrician you will be responsible for undertaking all damp associated electrical repairs and accompanying multiskilled repairs to both domestic and commercial properties to a high-quality standard whilst delivering an excellent customer service.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have a flexible approach and experience of working within a domestic and commercial property maintenance and target driven environment. At Bernicia we are customer focused in everything we do, so you will have excellent customer service skills in the delivery of your work, conversing with a wide range of people in the delivery of a first-class repairs service. You will be required to engage with all stakeholders of the service, acting as an Ambassador of Bernicia, promoting and endorsing the positive work that we do across our communities in the Bernicia way. We at Bernicia put people at the heart of everything we do, so it’s important that we deliver a first-class customer service where we are proud to be recognised for the quality service that we deliver. At Bernicia we don’t stand still, we are always looking to enhance our customer experience, so you will be able to contribute positively to change, adapting to new ways of working so we can improve and enhance our customer experience.
For the technical bit, you will have a sound working knowledge of your trade discipline and exhibit sound knowledge of the wider building construction sector, understanding components, materials, building trades and applicable regulations. It is therefore essential that you hold a NVQ/City & Guilds Certificate qualifying you as an Electrician together with the 18th Edition, Testing & Inspection and a full driving licence. You will also be able to demonstrate experience of working in a customer focused environment where the customer comes first.
