Salary: £32,549.00 per annum, with potential to increase in April 2026 in line with a cost-of-living award.

Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday.

Contract: Permanent.

Join our growing security team and play a crucial role in defending our organisation against evolving cyber threats. We are looking for a proactive Cyber Analyst passionate about protecting systems, data and people.

About the Cyber Analyst Role:

This role will involve:

  • Monitoring and maintaining cyber security tools to detect threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity.
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments, risk reviews, and penetration testing to strengthen security controls.
  • Investigating and responding to security incidents, documenting actions and findings.
  • Promoting cyber best practice and keeping training, policies, and processes up to date.
  • Providing technical security advice across the organisation and supporting cyber-related procurement.
  • Supporting the Head of Security & Infrastructure and contributing to wider ICT change assurance.
Your Experience:

Successful candidates will need:

Essential:
  • An understanding of modern security principles and technologies.
  • At least 1 years experience and proficiency with cyber security tools and technologies including firewalls, intrusion detection and SIEM systems.
  • Strong analytical and pro-active problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with other IT professionals.
Desirable:
  • Relevant professional certification such as CompTIA Security +, Security Blue Team, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
  • Experience with threat hunting and incident response.
