About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Painter to join our Property Maintenance and Construction Department working within our Ashington maintenance team. As a Multi Skilled Painter, you will be responsible for undertaking all painting and decorating repairs along with associated multi skilled tasks to both domestic, void and commercial properties, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and delivering excellent customer service.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have a flexible approach and experience working within a domestic and commercial property maintenance and target driven environment. You will be required to engage with all stakeholders of the service, acting as an Ambassador of Bernicia, promoting and endorsing the positive work that we do across our communities in the Bernicia way. At Bernicia we don’t stand still; we are always looking to enhance our customer experience. You will be able to contribute positively to change, adapting to new ways of working so we can improve and enhance our service.
For the technical bit, you will have a sound working knowledge of painting and decorating and exhibit understanding of the wider building construction sector, including components, materials, building trades and relevant regulations. It is therefore essential that you hold a City and Guilds Craft Certificate in Painting & Decorating or the equivalent. An appropriate CSCS card is desirable, and a full driving licence is essential. You will also be able to show experience working in a customer focused environment where the customer is always the priority.
