This is a fantastic opportunity for a social housing professional with experience in anti-social behaviour, estate and tenancy management or community safety to join our customer-focused organisation. Youll have the perfect platform to take your experience to the next level, sharpening your professional judgement and developing the specialist ASB expertise to truly excel in this rewarding area of housing. Most importantly, youll experience the rare sense of satisfaction that very few roles can offer, seeing the direct impact of your work as you help customers overcome difficult circumstances, sustain their tenancies and enjoy safer neighbourhoods.

The Role

As an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer, you will investigate and manage anti-social behaviour cases to help create safer neighbourhoods and support customers to sustain their tenancies. You will act as an advocate for customers, resolving housing-related ASB issues, co-ordinating effective responses to tackle and prevent ASB, and providing specialist advice where required. Taking ownership of low and medium-level ASB cases, you will investigate complaints, address root causes and offer support before escalation. For more complex cases, you will use risk assessments and low-level legal interventions to help achieve effective positive outcomes. Additionally, you will:

  • Prioritise, risk assess and effectively manage your caseload
  • Prepare quality case files for escalation where appropriate
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external partners
  • Support Neighbourhood Officers with response to areas of community tension
  • Assist with continuous improvement and customer satisfaction in ASB management

About You

To be considered as an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer, you will need:

  • Experience of social housing, including anti-social behaviour, estate and tenancy management or community safety-related work
  • Experience of using software applications, including Microsoft Office and bespoke IT systems
  • The ability to provide customer-focused and responsive services
  • An understanding of equality and diversity in the workplace
  • A positive attitude towards your own development, including embracing the personal development review process
  • An NVQ Level 3, BTEC National Certificate or equivalent, or relevant experience or transferable skills

Please note, this post requires a Basic Criminal Record Check. Other organisations may call this role ASB Officer, Anti-Social Behaviour Case Officer, Community Safety Officer, Housing Enforcement Officer, Tenancy Enforcement Officer, Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Enforcement Officer, or Community Safety Caseworker. Webrecruit and Berneslai Homes are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment. Equal opportunities are the only acceptable way to conduct business and we believe that the more inclusive our environments are, the better our work will be.
