Job Description

Bernard Matthews Derby is seeking for Senior Operatives to join our team in Derby. This position is responsible for the oversight of all raw meat . The Senior Operative will also be responsible for the organisation and completion of all paperwork relating to production. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and grow within Bernard Matthews Derby.

Key responsibilities:

• Checks on temperatures of the food
• Filling out paperwork accurately each hour in accordance to the checks
• Checking labels of products, expiry dates, kill dates etc
• Checking ingredient and meat quantities prior to the lines starting up
• Checking weights of items

The person:

• Assertive, keen eye for detail, be able to multi-task and prioritise tasks
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• The ability to build a strong sense of team ownership and maintain a high level of morale within the work force
• Energy, enthusiasm, positive, commitment and a can-do flexible attitude
• Embraces change and willing to challenge the status- quo

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.79 per hour
