Job Description
Bernard Matthews Derby is seeking for Senior Operatives to join our team in Derby. This position is responsible for the oversight of all raw meat . The Senior Operative will also be responsible for the organisation and completion of all paperwork relating to production. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and grow within Bernard Matthews Derby.
Key responsibilities:
- Checks on temperatures of the food
- Filling out paperwork accurately each hour in accordance to the checks
- Checking labels of products, expiry dates, kill dates etc
- Checking ingredient and meat quantities prior to the lines starting up
- Checking weights of items
The person:
- Assertive, keen eye for detail, be able to multi-task and prioritise tasks
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- The ability to build a strong sense of team ownership and maintain a high level of morale within the work force
- Energy, enthusiasm, positive, commitment and a can-do flexible attitude
- Embraces change and willing to challenge the status- quo
