The Finance Assistant will support the Finance Department by performing various accounting and financial tasks. This role involves assisting with month-end closings, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment., * General Accounting:

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of journal entries.

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Resolve vendor invoice queries.

  • Produce expense reports, and payment requests.

  • Reconcile customer invoices, shipments and production

  • Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.

  • Compile and analyse financial information to support decision-making.

  • Prepare supporting documentation for audits and other financial reviews.

  • Bank Reconciliations:

  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances.

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during reconciliations.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Monitor budget variances and report significant deviations to management.

  • Inventory Management:

  • Support inventory accounting and ensure accurate valuation of inventory.

  • Assist with inventory audits and reconciliations.

  • Compliance and Internal Controls:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

  • Assist in maintaining strong internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.

  • Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

  • Working towards CIMA or ACCA

  • Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
