WHO WE ARE: Bernadette is the experience arm of the VCCP Partnership. We invent, make and iterate products and services for our clients across all areas of their digital eco-system. We have specialists across UX, Design and Motion, Technology & Engineering, Content and Comms, Project Management, Data Analysis, Strategy (experience & comms) and Ops. ABOUT THE ROLE: We are looking for a Senior Product Strategist to join our team on a freelance basis for a minimum of 3 months to work for one of Bernadette’s biggest clients. As a Senior Strategist at Bernadette you will be responsible for designing and carrying out research, developing strategic frameworks and supporting the development and management of digital products and services. Working in a blended team with our UX and UI designers, developers, and project managers, you will have the opportunity to use your full range of strategic thinking and doing skills to create impactful solutions for our clients. You will be passionate and knowledgeable about the world of product & service design and have a strong grasp of the commercial impact of digital solutions. Key to success of the role will be your ability to bridge between strategy and execution, helping to develop visions and propositions into roadmaps and deliverable outcomes. Whilst an understanding of comms is important we are not looking for a Brand Planner, you should be experienced in product, service and experience strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead efforts to connect consumer needs with client business goals and market opportunities
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify key trends and conduct primary research with consumers to inform strategy
- Brief analytics requirements to understand customer behaviour and journeys through experimentation
- Size opportunities considering a range of inputs and levers that can deliver value
- Balance big-picture strategic thinking with tactical and pragmatic approaches to craft innovative and exciting digital propositions
- Translate vision and strategy into clearly defined and actionable roadmaps and plans
- Develop compelling narratives and presentations from complex findings for senior stakeholders
- Facilitate internal and client workshops to shape products and solutions
- Collaborate with UX/UI design, development, and delivery teams to co-create innovative solutions that help our clients stand out in their categories
- Support and up-skill client teams by providing strategic guidance and bringing a product mindset to guide planning, problem solving, and crafting compelling narratives
EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES:
- Significant number of years in a similar role within an agency or client-side environment
- Experience with both B2C and B2B projects
- A proven track record of delivering successful strategies
