We work closely with our clients to design, implement, and support secure, scalable IT environments, with an increasing focus on cloud technologies and modern infrastructure. As the business continues to grow, we are investing in our technical capability and looking to strengthen key areas within our engineering team. We are seeking a well-rounded Senior Systems Engineer to support and evolve a range of client environments. This is a hands-on role across infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and Azure, with a particular focus on strengthening and taking ownership of network-related areas within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain client IT environments across on-premises and cloud platforms
- Take ownership of networking across client environments (LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs)
- Design and implement secure, reliable infrastructure solutions
- Deploy and support Microsoft Azure solutions, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Manage and optimize Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange Online, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint)
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across networking, systems, and cloud platforms
- Act as a senior escalation point for the service desk
- Lead infrastructure and cloud projects, including migrations and upgrades
- Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation
- Provide proactive recommendations to improve client environments
- Participate in an on-call / out-of-hours support rota
Core Technical Requirements
- Good working knowledge of VLANs and subnetting
- Firewalls and network security fundamentals
- Comfortable troubleshooting network issues end-to-end
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365: Intune / endpoint management
- Experience with Microsoft Azure: Virtual machines, virtual networks (VNets), NSGs
- Hybrid identity and integrations
- Exposure to or experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

- Scripting or automation experience (e.g. PowerShell)
