About The Role

The Damage Prevention Technician reports to the Operations Lead. The role involves ensuring safety and quality while driving, parking, and auditing on gas lines. It requires physical activity and working in various weather conditions.

Salary Transparency: For residents in New York, the pay rate is $18/hour.

What You’ll Do

1. Compliance & Safety
   • Ensure compliance with Code Rule 753 and promote safe excavation practices
   • Follow safety, quality, and operational procedures
   • Wear PPE and uniforms
   • Participate in safety meetings
2. Gas Main Locating & Site Visits
   • Distribute educational materials to excavators
   • Visit excavation sites and construction zones
   • Collect data via handheld devices
   • Maintain professionalism and courtesy
   • Complete work orders
   • Occasional site travel
3. Communication & Collaboration
   • Provide reports and documentation
   • Escalate issues to supervisors
   • Maintain attendance and vehicle condition
   • Report equipment issues
   • Communicate with dispatchers
4. Other duties as needed

About You

Must Haves:

• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license

Nice to Have:

• 1 year of continuous employment or 6+ months outdoors work
