BTP are hiring an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of UK utility-scale solar projects, leading them from late-stage development through to full construction delivery. You will act as the client’s representative, ensuring the EPC contractor delivers safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
This role is ideal for a hands-on Senior PM with end to end project lifecycle experience.
Key Responsibilities- Project Development & Pre-Construction
- Drive projects through feasibility, late-stage design, and permitting steps.
- Coordinate technical, commercial, planning, and grid activities to ensure construction readiness.
- Construction Oversight
- Lead the transition from development into construction execution.
- Monitor EPC performance, programme, budget, site progress, and quality.
- Provide clear reporting and ensure project milestones are met.
- Client Representation & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary interface with EPC partners, landowners, consultants, DNOs, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage expectations, maintain strong relationships, and escalate issues when required.
- Risk, Compliance & Safety
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations and environmental standards.
- 8+ years of project management experience within utility-scale solar and/or major construction projects.
- Strong understanding of development workflows: planning, permitting, grid connection, design coordination.
- Confident managing EPC contractors and acting as the client’s representative.
- Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable making decisions at pace.
- London-based and available to start immediately.
